Many, many kids get pandas despite taking antibiotics for strep. Strep is a resistant bacteria, and is becoming more and more so the more antibiotics are being prescribed for it.

Exactly! My kids haven't gotten strep yet, but I know how contagious it is. I don't go running for antibiotics for viruses, but isn't it better (for health, QOL, and prevention of antibiotic resistance) to medicate the first sick family member rather than needing half the family to take multiple rounds of antibiotics?
