How lovely for you. Not everyone has the luxury of a Pesach kitchen. AND UNLESS YOU LIVE IN AN UNSPEAKABLY RICH BUBBLE FROM WHICH YOU HAVE NEVER EMERGED TO LOOK AT THE REAL WORLD, YOU KNEW THAT.

What do you mean, not everyone has a Pesach kitchen?!!! Next thing you'll tell me not everyone goes to Israel and an exotic destination every year!
Guess, you didn't see the posts after mine. Happens to me all the time, too.
I was joking.

Are you serious???

I could not understand why my neighbor gets so huffy every time I mention which exotic location we're going to this winter, and why she is never interested in hearing about my Sukkos in Israel plans.

You mean she doesn't go? That totally explains her reaction. Wow. Mindblowing.

BTW, even if you don't have a Pesach kitchen, it's not such a big deal to tell the live-in to hire a few friends and do the kitchen for you. I don't get what everyone kvetches about.

I don't do the toys. If there is halachic chametz in it, as in size and edibility, I will probably see it, and if not, I'll burn it/treat it like some discovered chametz. You could all shpritz with soap too.

We just visually look for chametz in the toy bins. I don't drive myself crazy. I have thought about buying toys just for pesach but honestly when it's so many long yt days I rather have all the toys so the kids aren't bored.

Ya what’s up with all these posts about cleaning houses and cars for pesach?

I just close my houses and cars and open my KLP ones.

Ya, what's up with these posts cleaning everything up?

It's been my family tradition for 3,000 years and some!

Seriously though, why would there be chometz in the toy bins??
I don’t understand.
Unless your toys are in your kitchen and that’s where the kids play.
If your toys are on in a separate room or on on another level of your home and your kids only eat by the table and don’t bring food elsewhere, and they really don’t, because why would they, then why and how would there be chometz there?
Unless someone will tel me their kids just take food and eat wherever, all over the house? Is that a thing? I can’t imagine.

I have found food in the basement with the toys enough times that I cannot assume there isn't chometz there.

Different families have different set ups, small apartments, little kids walking in the living room with cookies in hands and standing near the tower their siblings are building and generously sharing crumbs all over it. Or pieces. Not hard to imagine.

Something tells me that your family's 3,000 y old Pesach cleaning tradition has changed tremendously during that time Wink
Would love to somehow know what it looked like in medieval times and shteitles.

One word…

Cheerios. TMI

Our living room/playroom is connected to our kitchen, and we don’t have a dining room. So yea, small bits of pretzels/crackers, crumbs, cereal, etc etc definitely make their way around the main floor. #toddlers

My toys are on a different floor of the house than the kitchen where food is not allowed. Still, the toddler brings toys to the kitchen table all the time. & shabbos afternoon to the dining room when we have company.

Some years I clean all toys, sometimes I just empty & clean the closet & clean bins that look dirty.

Whats with all the posts about ppl cleaning their playroom for pesach? I cover all the toys and give the kids klp ones. No time for cleaning toys or organizing shelves or wiping shelves.

Where should I store the Pesach ones?

It's called Toddler.

There were literally bread crusts in the Duplo bin. Don't ask. (He can't answer anyhow, he's not that verbal yet.)
