p.c. is politically correct
about taking kids out of school - I have mixed feelings about that
on the one hand, I agree with all of you about spending time with your children, and the school day being too long
on the other hand, especially for boys, I'm not sure that it's good to give them a message that a day off from learning Torah is okay
maybe if they attend school with a secular studies program and you have them miss that, that's another story

my 5 yr old has school on Sun & it drives me nuts -
he's overtired & has no time to uwind. He's also picking things up @ school that are less than desirable, & I have very little time to couneract them.
I just desided to keep him home 1 sun a month.
