Shabbat, my 2 1/4 year old sounds like yours. He wakes up early (almost always by himself) around 6:15-6:45 AM, the same time as my older dd who just is an early riser. We take him to gan around 7-7:15 AM. He's a morning person. He naps in gan up to 2 hours and comes home 3:45. On the days he doesn't have gan, he doesn't go for a nap so early and sometimes won't sleep until 3 PM. He doesn't go to sleep as early as my older kids (9 yr olds) who go to sleep around 8-8:30 PM. I usually put him down around 8:30 but often he plays around and won't fall asleep until 9:15-10 PM. He's just not a long sleeper. He's never cranky in the morning so I assume he gets what his body needs. He's only cranky a bit when he wakes from his nap but not for long.

yea it would be nice if dd would take an earlier nap but gan does not end until 1:20 after which she needs to eat lunch. so she ends up going to sleep from 2 to 4 which starts the late night cycles again.
