I have enjoyed the books I have read but I had a problem with the (too) obvious message of Charedi sucks, MO is the solution. I think that the books would be better if the message was more subtle, or the view of both societies (the way it transpires in the books) was more balanced.
In general, I think a good book doesn't wear its message on its sleeve, so to say, but allows the reader to think for him/herself. I feel this depth is missing in Regen's books.
