I forgot: Comes with own washer/dryer and includes utilities.

Internet here is double the speed elsewhere because in this area not too many people have Internet.

Live in a lovely upscale area in the US with almost no frum community. Next to a university.
$800 a month for a small apartment in a complex, managed place, two bedrooms, massive closet space, porch. Tiny kitchen.
Utilities not included.

Buying here is similar to NJ prices, though.

900 + utilities (which adds up to about 200 a month) for 4 bedroom basement, large eat-in kitchen with upgraded appliances and dishwasher, large living/dining room and front-loading HE washer/dryer in Arlington in Lakewood.
My previous apartment: 1010 plus electricity for 2 bedrooms, no washer/dryer, and a tiny kitchen that didn't even fit a table for 2.

You converted that from Rand. So you are paying 5000 Rand a month. Is that considered alot?
