new question: What do you estimate is the total US Lubavitch population?

I am wondering how you measure this. I know that Lubavitch is very involved with kiruv - when someone becomes frum, do they become "Lubavitch"? If so, at what point?

Now thats a tough one. I guess you would need a list of each shul's and each Chabad house's members, plus more...

Satmar in Monroe is very big. I don't know how many girls we have in our school . We had 151 8th grade graduates last year. The younger grades have much more. There are 10 1st grades. Per 25 kids in each class.
The cheder and girls school open a new nursery class every 2 months k"h.

We need 21 school buses to take home the girls from 5th-12th grade. LOL

okay, not verified but this is what I read:

as of 1999, the total US Satmar population was estimated to be close to 70,000 with 30,000 living in Williamsburg, 17,000 in Monroe, 15,000 in Boro Park, and 5000 in Monsey.

estimates of Lubavitchers in the US is 30,000
