Who remembers Sylvia's Shoes, and the Pharmacy that pre-dated Sylvia's? (Or was it the other way around?)
Was it Hoffman's Pharmacy? I'm forgetting the name.

I also feel bad whenever I see a store being renovated to the high heavens knowing that many new stores don't make it with the high rents.
As for news on 13 Lanes took over where kitchen couture? Was.
Silksation opened up a huge place where toys for u used to be.
Little loungers took over the location of the kids shoe store near hot bagels.
Kids garden. Aka Hi baby is closed.

My mother used to only buy on sale there.

I guess the younger crowd likes the more chic, trendy (ugly ) clothing better.
Wonderland had such nice decent clothing.
Quote: | I also remember when m&m shoe store closed where toys for you is and I remember the relief and satisfaction. shock I know but the salesman/owner was such a nasty haughty person. I cringed every time I wanted to go in to look. I knew I wasnt buying anything. I felt so uncomfortable there. abd I knew it was for people who could afford it.

Wasnt Mildred's in that location? |
Telco was in that spot. it was telco then m&m shoes, followed by toys 4U, where silksation is now.
Mildred's was next door to Kosher Delight (now a bank), there are two stores now its place, a shoe store and I forget what else.
