My son is also there .
I am a complete and utter wreck. I can;t get to myself...they haven't left yet and I just want my son home safe.

I absolutely HATE the late night trips. HATE. And everyone tells me its ok the kids are fine they enjoy it but SH3T happens and this happened and I don't even know the boy but I am broken.

It’s not that one. Not that that it makes a difference. One too many.

We need to learn to learn a lesson and that is that it is not adequate to rely on lifeguards.
You need more supervision.
They only discovered that the boy was missing after they did a head count on the bus.

I don't get it, there weren't any lifeguards around the pool? The boys left the pool without a lifeguard there??

So so horrible...
My daughter was there a few weeks ago (of course for a late night)...
There were 3 large camps there together.
Dd told me that at one point when she was in a pool the lifeguard blew her whistle that everyone should move away because she was trying to get to a kid who looked like she needed help.
It seems like they do have lifeguards...

The lifeguards closed the pool and signed out.
The camp had already boarded the bus when it was discovered that a boy was missing.

I don’t want to speculate but I do wonder if the boy had a health issue (seizure) that caused him to go under.?

Me too.
My sons camp has finally left the parking lot but I just need him home.

According to misaskim when they came out to the buses and did a headcount they realized he was missing so they went inside, found his swim bag and then tehy found him.
Apparently the lifeguards had all signed out already but I don't know and I doubt we'll ever know.
I take comfort only in knowing that none of the kids actually saw it happening but I am nauseous and heartbroken. A mom sent her kid on another day camp trip and he is never coming home. Sad Can't Believe It Crying Crying Crying

Why would you say this? Do you know said child? Read reviews about this place and you will hear that there is always a danger of kids heading head first into the water from the slides.
