Maybe people could share a few tips? Personally I use a lot of trial and error... but first I check to see what the target number is divisible by and that can be a clue. It's nice if the digits add up to 3 for some reason... also nice if it's even.
I try subtracting the two-digit number from the target number, and try adding it... I try adding different combinations of numbers together... and multiplying them.... see what "subtotals" I can make by pairing up different numbers... try different things to see if anything starts to make sense.
I try to use one or two of the numbers, and see if the others will "add up" (in whatever way) to whatever is left.... if that makes sense.
But all that said, I'm not that good at it and it really is a challenge!
Do other people have a few secret techniques to share?
