I think all the options have to be whole numbers - you have a 0 there.

Zero is a whole number... but do all the numbers have to be positive (counting numbers)? It seems like zero should be OK but it's kind of a waste of a number (unless there were a requirement to use all the numbers).

In the beginning it says use numbers between 1-10, so I'm assuming 0 isn't counted.

closest I could get is
(17 ( 3 - 1) +1 ) * 3 = 105
so no points.... but can anyone do this? I do wish I had one more digit to work with!

OK, so how long do we wait to see if someone can come up with a solution? Or should someone provide a new problem?

{Although I rather like this solution for its originality even though it is not so close: (20^3)/9+(3^4)/2=929.39  How's that for thinking out of the box?}
