I am shocked at the amount of women who had 4 kids so close together, simply because in real life I see those who either space their kids from the start, start spacing after the first two are very close together, or start spacing after 3 were born close together.

I have only one friend out of many who has had 4 under age 5.

Kol hakavod to you moms!

Even if you have every two years, you'd still have your oldest be 6 when the fourth is born. If you had the first three very close, you'd like also have a 5-7 year old as an oldest. That's very close, but what I see is that usually the first 2 are super close (less than 18 months) and the next are about 2 years apart until child # 6. I guess it depends on the community.

Oldest being six is different than oldest being five!

Oldest turned 7 a few weeks after my 4th was born. I was 32. Even though he was my 4th child I only had 2 at home so it was kind of a different situation then most people. My last baby which is my 4th living child I was 35.

Sounds like she lost a child. Had her 4th at age 32 but only had 3 living children even though it really was her 4th. Then she had her 5th at age 35 but only had 4 living children.
Whatever it is huge hugs to her. Hug

I’m due soon with number 4 and my oldest is 5, but I had them close together because I am 37. I wonder if the very young moms had their first four so close together on purpose.

Not sure what "on purpose" means. It wasn't by mistake, but neither did I sit down and make goals (4 kids by 26. 8 kids by 34. 12 kids by 40.)

I was happy that Hashem sent me a child, then another child, then another, and then another. I didn't have any compelling reason to NOT have a child, and I love my children dearly and do my best to care for them properly.

Nothing supermom about it either.

I was thrilled to have my kids close together. The rest of them are a bit more spaced out. Between 2-3 years apart instead of 18 months apart.
