Also, you do lose out on the 5% redcard discount, so target makes up more revenue that way...

I had a great experience with Shipt (did a trial of it but the yearly fee isn't worth it for me personally).
I've found instacart to be ok depending on the shopper. Instacart has always been very responsive to me when I have had an issue- crediting back to me if I had problems with items.
Instacart marks up items though. Shipt you pay target online prices plus there are sometimes promos for specific items if purchased for same day delivery or pick-up and also sometimes order deals (like the $10 off of $100 purchase).

I find I spend less when I order online. I don't buy the impulse items and I also do a better job at thinking out what I will need that week (especially because of the delivery fee & tipping I want to only have to make one order, but when I go to the store I have the mindset of 'if I forget something I can just come back later to get it'.

I do dislike the idea that physical store are closing up because we are all doing so much online shopping. It's just so so convenient though....

We order from Walmart Grocery Pickup. Same prices as in store, no fees, you do need to drive to the store but they put all the groceries in the car for you, you can stay sitting in your seat the whole time. They often substitute items they can't find for higher priced items (they don't charge you extra), which is a nice bonus!

Just want to add that I also LOVE this service and use it all the time! I have told many of my friends about it and some of them have signed up too. I agree with everything OP said. One thing I want to add is that in the last few months they have made shipt available on the target website directly instead of just the shipt app so you can actually use the red card and get the 5% discount and also you can make returns (when using the shipt app you could not make returns to the store). It is a total lifesaver for me!

It says $2.99 for me. Are prices based in where you live or did it change on the site?
I usually find Target's prices to be very similar to Amazon. Plus aren't there fees for Amazon pantry?

And my Target price is 3.69 :-)
As I mentioned, different stores in the same chain offer different prices!

Soooooo weird. I always assumed the website prices would be the same for everyone! I knew the physical store prices differ depending on location but I never realized the online prices do! Is that for all stores?
