I wasn't really complaining. I am happy to pay it, as long as the money actually exists! (We paid first month + registration fees + uniforms/books/supplies/transportation, and are working on the second month now.) And I'm not getting very significant discounts, either. Maybe 10% or so.

I am B"H very happy with the high schools I chose for my children, and am thrilled that they are happy there. I am extremely grateful that the virtual elementary schooling option exists, despite the obvious downsides of the model, and my children are certainly learning and growing and have many friends that they would never otherwise meet. They have dedicated and innovative teachers and are motivated and happy.

I still find it interesting to see totals, and find it mind-boggling that families are actually able to pay these staggering amounts on a regular basis! Our projected tuition in three years, assuming we get similar discounts and tuition doesn't rise, is over $86,000 (more than our annual income in the past few years).

It's a good thing our Father has deep pockets!

I see I misunderstood your tone, and I apologize.

There's no good way to pay for private school for a large family if you aren't rich.

$42,000 for 5 kids - 1 Bais Medrash boy, 1 high school boy, 1 high school girl, 1 middle school girl, 1 elementary boy. In Baltimore and this is with discounts from every school. Without discounts would have been close to $75,000. It is our biggest expense and we are happy to pay it and are grateful for the tuition reductions as we know how hard and expensive it is to run a school.

true, but I’m surprised how little money some people make! A family with 4+ kids, less than $100k? (Unless there aren’t 2 full time working parents I don’t get it.)

$11,250 for three kids (one in school and two in playgroup) in Lakewood.
We make less than $100k a year (gross) and we both work (I work part time, though).
Tuition is my second highest expense (after mortgage)

We were charged $21,550 for this year. This covers preschool or school tuitions for 3 kids, with aftercare until 4:00 p.m., and fees in Cincinnati.

The above amount does not include the two state vouchers, totaling $9,300, that went directly to the school.
