In general people are voting with their feet.
Many people do not want nanny states overreaching, overtaxing and over regulating them. Many are rushing to leave big cities. People do not want to live in states that are intrusive into private religious school jewish education and curriculums and other religious priorities and values.
When they can move, and some cannot due to jobs, older family, and other factors, majority of people want to live in states in which they are not targeted, infantilized, patronized, and overtaxed. When possible people want to live in states that reflect their value system and allow them to live in peace.
Covid highlighted and exacerbated these issues.
