I have 20 plus cook books, the following are my most used.
I will add another vote for Table for Two. Easy, Basic, and uncomplicated recipes. Love it and highly recommend it all the time. My second choice is the Bais Yaacov cookbook #1. It is a classic.
Miriam Pascal's cookbooks are all great.

Depends on the newlywed and if she likes to cook or not etc. I certainly was a very good cook before I got married and wouldn’t need a beginner cookbook

Another vote for Lubavitch Cook Book. I like the original yellow cover one the best.

Purple lubavich one ans the bais yaakov one. Those are my most used but I don't use cookbooks much honestly.

Right. She is not a newbie at cooking, thats why I mentioned practical and good recipes, and not specifically beginner types.

She might find it hard to cook for two, especially if she's used to cooking for a large family. Reiterating my vote for Table for Two.

Table for two is great for seasoned cooks as well.
It’s not only for beginners, it’s great for cooking smaller amounts

I only opened this thread to make sure someone had listed the purple cookbook. It is a basic that every Frum home should have. Not only does it have a great assortment of basic (and not so basic) recipes, it has a measurement guide & substitution suggestions in the back.
(BTW a single guy I know who was living alone went into a jewish bookstore and asked for a cookbook recommendation so he would be able to cook for himself. The ladies recommended the purple cookbook & told him his wife-whenever he found one- would enjoy it, too. She does!)
