I don't believe it is more than you imagined. I think it is because people are not going to start threads about how they are not struggling. A forum will attract that kind of speak. Also, someone may write a struggle they manage just fine with in reality, although when they type about it it seems more dysfunctional or disturbing. I think you see how many people are dealing with things, but I've always known everyone has their own story.

No reason why it can't be. Nothing in the title suggests that the thread is only for philosophical and religious concepts. If anyone wants to post a cool life hack or even just a simple kitchen hack, it's allowed.

Honestly, I learned a lot of interesting social behaviors I had no previous exposure to. |
Can I applause you [for this] and boo you at the same time? JK

Don’t forget that hugs are sometimes genuine. Like the one I gave you now.

I learnt that some people enjoy arguing for argument’s sake and can never admit they’re wrong. Feel bad for them. |

I learned about Alipicks here.
Shallow. I know.
I learned that its ok to voice my opinion.
I learned that bullies here, just like in real life, don't have facts to back things up so nothing to be afraid of.
I learned that most of the time people do not have two personas. Like online like in real life.

I welcome those over genuine ones. An above poster seems well intentioned, but who doesn't cringe thinking of some warm fuzzy amother hugging you?

I learned that as Jewish women we are all more alike than different.
I also learned that while we are all Jewish women, we are all so vastly different.

I prefer neither. If you dislike what I wrote, be an adult and let's talk about it. If you feel bad for me, I guess you can take a minute to write a post expressing that too.

Even when we have different minhagim, hashkafas or ideals, we all have one Torah!
It's actually fascinating to lurk on threads where people explain/defend their hashkafas etc. Imamother has opened up my eyes to the many paths in yiddishkiet.
I've also learned about the many different recipes for salt water... And hard boiled eggs....
