I love my job. I would do it even if I didn't get paid. I am a therapist. Makes me feel like I am using my unique kochos and fulfilling my purpose in this world, helping people heal which affects their marriages and parenting and in turn generations benefit from the work they do...bringing tikkun to the entire world. There is nothing I would rather do.

I chose 3, even though more reasons also apply, because even if all other boxes were ticked off, I'd still work to feel accomplished. I go berserk without structure and basically turn into a miserable couch potato.

1,2,3,4 and especially 7!
I pay for a cleaning lady to do my housework (well a lot of it) and I'll stick to what I do best.

Same. But honestly, even when I didn’t work I had a lot of cleaning help. So mainly I work because I’m passionate about what I do.

Mainly health insurance - I guess that is money.

After so many years of raising kids and managing a house and working I’m not sure what I’d do with myself if I wasn’t. Like my job schedules my day.

I work for money #1 only!!

im so organized/scheduled that id have a schedule and routine even if I didnt work except that I would have more flexibility in choosing hours. also, if I didnt work, I would have more energy and time to devote to my kids especially the more challenging ones that need more of my help with everything academic and I want them to be successful and not feel stressed/low self esteem if they are behind...

at this point, I buy lottery tickets hoping to win so I can leave my job...im an accomplished worker, but my boss thinks im worthless and makes me stressed/pressured, so I dont feel accomplished...so its all about the money for me as without my job I cant pay my bills...I hate working but bh I didnt lose my job bec I do need the $.

All of the above including 9! Sometimes I feel like I should quit.
We def need the money.
I am an art teacher and absolutely love what I do.
I hate housework and look for any excuse not to do it. Would love to teach art and make art all day.
My husband doesn't care so much if I work or not .

Only one. If we didn't need money to live on, I'd volunteer and or work part time in a job I actually love.

There is no one reason so I'm not voting.
I help DH run his business. he trusts me implicitly and doesn't really want a non family member accessing the financials and other things that I do.
At this point, the business isn't really big enough for a completely outside firm to manage what I do.
If we do get to that point, I would be very happy to step away.
I do take a salary although DH could take a larger salary himself and I manage all of our personal finances so I don't actually need my own paycheck.

I'll suggest another option. I work part time to keep my career ticking over and to ensure I stay up to date with the latest developments. That way when my children are older I won't have to start from scratch again, and I'll have an employment record that will make it easier for me to move into a more advanced and demanding position than I could cope with at the moment.

Having said that, I enjoy my job, and this past year working in health care have felt that I am playing an important role.

1, 3, 6
It starts from a need to earn money to support my family. That being a given, I went into a field I enjoy. I'm lucky that the field I enjoy, also pays well. I am not at all passionate about it but I do look forward to my day when I sit at my desk in the morning.
