I was one of those rare lucky people that was a pioneer for 3 summers - Rabbi Greenwald ZT"L decided to try having pioneers going into 7th grade and announced it the summer before. I was so excited - I think there was 1 bunk my age. He walked past our table one Friday night and half the girls were falling asleep and he said you guys are too young...the experiment lasted either 1 or 2 summers...
