I was very Happ with malky zacharowitz in cedarhurst. She was very thorough in her assessment and all very honest beforehand about whether or not she felt she was the right address for us. She really cared, wanted to help and took the time to really discuss and ensure we would get what we were looking for from her assessment.

Dr Mandelman does a consult for 500 an hour - his neuropsych is close to $7k.
Dr Zacharowitz is in the Five TOwns.
Dr Steinhardt in Montvale.
I work in the school system - all are excellent evaluators.

If your child's school and pediatrician write you a letter saying that they are want a neuropsych evaluation on the children because of their issues, you can send it into the board of education. They might approve it and agree to pay for it. They will offer you a minimal amount that they will cover. They also have a list of neuropsych evaluators. Some will do it on a sliding scale or accept the amount the board of ed is willing to pay. Bear in mind that these evaluations take all day or are broken up into 2 days.

I took my child to someone in Manhattan. She was very on target and was able to figure out the core issue.

Hatzlocha!

Start with a regular psych eval that’s covered by your insurance!
Why do people always think they need to get a neuropsych eval for 6-7000? First do a reg psych eval that’s covered and then you’ll see what they recommend
