I don't think it's confusing.
Interesting thread. I have a close relative by marriage named Betzalel/Tzali and he actually does have an artistic eye, and is very talented with his hands. He's also a very good husband to my relative B"H.

We ended up having a girl
I love the name. I don't think Tzippi / Tzali is confusing.
Btw if you prefer Zolly pronunciation, that could totally work and I think it's very cute.
