I love meaningful people. They recently had a close friend of mine on the show. She had a double lung transplant.

It was amazing!

I think everyone is just trying to be a light unto the nation, so the more the merrier. Certainly no podcaster "owns" any guest they have on, and a lot of their guests (especially the "celebrity" ones) do lots of podcasts/speaking.
Please do not judge the hosts or the guests. The hosts are both nice young guys and the guests volunteered their time to do the podcasts.

Let me clarify. Not trying to cause any machlokes. Just seemed like there was a certain tone in the original message.

Hope everyone gets their chizuk.

Just felt bad that they were both being "blamed" for "getting the same guests"

Thanks for clarifying. 👍

Yikes! I was the OP.
I didn't mean it in a bad way.
I listen to both podcasts!
I just found the first few after they split to be amusing.
Since then, they've been interviewing different guests

I’ve been watching both of them, and they both seem to be very successful and attract a lot of viewers. I’m so impressed by them. It’s great that nowadays someone with talent and drive can easily set up a talk show and disseminate content to so many people.

Businesses pay them for the ads that are part of the show.

Do you know how much?
Don't they need to pay the speaker too?

I don’t know.

I very, very highly doubt they pay the people they interview. Those people gain from the exposure, that’s how the podcasting industry works.

I enjoy both.
I understand that nachi Gordon and yaakov langer split and each have their own(similar) podcasts.

Can someone explain why almost every other person they interview is the same person?
Ishay ribo, rav gav, rabbi yy jacobson, etc...

I know they don't work together anymore, but why did this happen?

I'm also wondering why interviewees do not decline when the second podcaster asks them to be a guest on their show...

These are businesses, they take the most popular people / rabbis, give short videos, then get ads which is where the money comes from. It’s a business model used widely in the frum world.

Not anymore. If you’ve watched their interviews recently, they’re about an hour, and the interviews run the gamut from Ben Shapiro to Mayor Adams, to Israeli musicians, to a variety of inspirational people.

I stopped paying attention since it was hogging up my phone. But, still, it’s their business. Don’t you see all those ads they constantly post or send out? This is the way a lot of frum social media makes money.

It’s not a speaking engagement, it’s an interview.

Correct. Tht is the Meaningful Minute.

The hour long interviews are The Meaningful People Podcast, which is started by same person.

No, DMC by Rivki Silver and Alex Fleksher is not part of MM anymore, but they're still doing a great job!
Latest interview was with the Kichels!

My only complaint about the DMC podcast is that there are not enough episodes! This is the kind of content I love. More please!
