Would you put this on for a newborn boy? I searched their site for a white snowsuit and only realized after that it was in the girls' section.

Yes but it doesn’t look very heavy. If you’re based in the Northeast of the US, our winters are much colder than englands. You can get great deals this time of year in the US so if you’re American no reason to buy this sort of item from abroad
