I start with chicken soup because I need to get it out of the way and also because cleaning big pots is a big job I like to get out of the way.

My suggestion is cooking dinner first thing in the morning before starting anything else, & setting aside shopping days so cooking days are not interrupted. |
I would do crockpot suppers. Chicken and potatoes and veggies dumped in with seasoning or sauce and supper is ready when everyone walks in the door .

Chicken soup is easy to make, but takes a long time to cook. So if you need your pots, it's actually a great thing to get out of the way. It's the one thing that you can't mess up by freezing.

Freezing chicken soup to me is a whole “thing”
Making a big fresh chicken soup erev first and second days, you get to enjoy the vegetables, you don’t need to strain fresh soup, no transferring and making everything oily!
There’s nothing like fresh soup and it’s easier!
