I have massive muscles. I'm mushy and soft and cuddly in spots and hard as a rock in other spots. I made wine by hand press, plowed up sod by hand...I'm tough and strong and big and my body is useful. My husband loves my size L boobs. I'm an 18-20. If I was an 8-10 I wouldn't have any of this.

On a positive note, I’m enjoying to read the humor on this thread. I love you my plus sized friends!

The truth is beauty is really in the eyes of the beholder. Someplace in Tanach I think (or is it Gemara?) it describes the most good looking man of all time and one of his characteristics is a double chin. This shows that size and shape does not determine real beauty. The trends keep changing so it can’t be that because the current trend is size 6, anyone bigger or smaller is not beautiful.

ALL women get asked if they are or think they may be pregnant if they need to take an xray. They are looking out for your safety not trying to be nosy or rude.

There's actually something in medicine called "the obesity paradox." Basically, being obese puts you at higher risk for a number of conditions, including various cancers. BUT it also means that you'll be more likely to survive those same illnesses. There are lots of theories for why this is, but the most common seems to be that people with extra padding simply have greater bodily reserves to draw on during a health crisis.

It's also an advantage in certain types of car accidents, since it gives you some extra built-in cushioning.
