Don't hire a cheap know it all to do construction. They will not do a good job and they will end up overcharging by creating fake problems.

Don't do laundry when you're tired - you may just end up bleaching a full load of darks 🫤.

I guess I'll wait till my kids are grown and out the house before starting laundry.

Here's a true one, anon for obvious reasons

My daughter name is Chava. I sometimes call her Chavs.
I also sometimes call my kids booba (like the Hebrew word for doll/baby)

One coffee-deprived tired morning at the crowded bus stop, I scrambled them together and called her boobs.

Moral of the story - give your kids socially appropriate nicknames. And drink coffee.

Don't take a laxative (including really mild ones like Normalax or prune juice) then walk somewhere where at some point you will be 10 minutes away from the bathroom! Walking is good, but make sure you're at most 5 min away from a bathroom, even if you just have to walk circles around your house.

Same for freeze pops. They will be happy to teethe on them, but the freeze marks on their cheeks later are not worth it.

True story: I was already in bed and I hear knocking on the door after midnight. I jumped out of bed in a fright.
I go to the door and one of my kids is there, wondering why I locked him out. He was reading in the porch innocently…

A simple kitchen timer is even better as you can set the time for reminders of everything (soda bottles in freezer and what not)
