There’s a new antibody that came out to help with RSV. Essentially, it would be injecting immunity into the child as opposed to a regular vaccine that stimulates the body’s immune system.

It will not be a fair poll because you don't know, how many won't give any vaccine and how many won't give it because its new.

Typical pharma situation.
Create the situation. Cause fear. Magically come up with the solution.
Make our kids sick with rsv, create hype and fear and whoopi the saviors are here with a new vaccine that saves us.
(Fyi this vaccine is different than the other childhood vaccines-it has some sterilization properties)

Seems like you’ve never had a kid really sick with RSV. Also, not that it should matter, but it’s not a vaccine.

I’ve had a kid sick with rsv. I’ve also had. A friend who lost her baby to rsv. And another friend who spent weeks, WEEKS in the hospital with two of her kids both with rsv.
So obviously I’d discuss it and look into it but in short, yes a big fat yes.

My daughter nearly died from rsv but I still wouldn’t give the vaccine.
I used to be a lot more trusting. But the last few years changed everything

Maybe I would give it eventually but not yet. I'm very wary about new vaccines.

Jfyi, there is already a rsv vaccines. It's given to preemies and those with compromised immune systems.

Once again, though it shouldn’t actually matter, this is not a vaccine.

My baby had rsv at five weeks old this past winter. It was traumatic but even after all we went through I still wouldn’t give it. It’s not out long enough for me to feel confident.

I did give it to my preemie years ago. Is this new or is that vaccine that I gave now available to the public? In those days it was only for babies in the hospital.

It’s different. It’s not a vaccine. It’s monoclonal antibodies.

My baby had rsv this past winter and I would give it. It was frightening to hold her and watch her gasp for breath and not be able to breathe effectively. Only a steroid oral medication helped her catch her breath and I was limited in the number of times I was allowed to give it. The nebulizer actually does nothing according to my dr but it's the best treatment they have. We were lucky not to end up in the hospital yet many babies did need to be hospitalized at that time.
The rsv affected us the rest of the winter season, every time she caught a cold, it was worse than it should have been because of the rsv affecting her airways beforehand.
I don't vaccinate babies before 2 years old but this I would give.
