Does anyone have a reliable pretzel chicken recipe? I have bought premade from Kosher Marketplace a few times but it’s so expensive. I was at a lunch at the Rabbis house and the Rebbetzin made pretzel chicken and it was just so good! Any recommendations for something tried and true, perfect every time etc etc ? Thank you!

I mix eggs with mustard and honey. Dip the cutlets into that mixture and then dip into prepared pretzel crumbs . I buy ready pretzel crumbs from Liebers or Schwartz and then crush real salted pretzel sticks also and add it to the bought crumbs .
Fry on both sides until crispy and cooked through.

Thank you! This is probably dumb but when you say “fry” do you mean like a lot of oil in a deep pan like when making soufganyiot or do you mean like just a little oil in a frying pan on high heat?

Just a regular frying pan like and medium to high heat, the same way you would fry breaded chicken cutlets .
Also I drain them on paper towels but instead of stacking them one on top of the other , I stand them up like dominoes . This way the oil drips down onto the paper towel and the chicken doesn’t get soggy this way.

I buy the coarse pretzel crumbs, usually Schwartz brand and make like regular shnitzel. Flour, egg then pretzel crumbs and fry in a decent amount of oil but not deep fry. I like it with smaller pieces of cutlets like chunks or strips not a full piece. I also don't add any spices to the flour or egg becasue the pretzels have enough flavor for me.
