I'm traveling an hour to visit my aunt and I think takeout will be too expensive, what can I bring for lunch or dinner that travels well in a crowded car? No soupy liquidy things.

Anything beside for soup travels well. You just need to pack it up well and have enough space in the car for the pans.

Sliced deli, condiments, baguettes (or sliced bread) and sliced veggies.
Bagels and cream cheese.

Will you have any way of heating food up? I don't know what the weather's like by you, but would you want to do a bbq?
If you can't heat food up, I would do things like deli meat with rolls/pita that don't need to be heated up. And you can have cut up vegetables to go with it.
