Can I take my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe, leave out the chocolate chips, and put a parve chanukah chocolate coin on top and bake it for 10 minutes? Will it work? Dachuf! Toda!

I’ve done it but put the chocolate coin on after they came out of the oven so it wouldn’t melt too much. It melted just enough to stick

That makes sense, I'm going to try it.
Thank you!

They just can't be stacked. Too melty. I would try freezing them on a sheet pan but no room in freezer.

No, choc chips are in the cookie dough, part of the recipe. I just left them out of the recipe.
Margarine Free Chocolate Chip Cookies
Tali Simon
¾ Cup canola oil
¼ Cup + 2 Tbsp. sugar
¾ Cup dark brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla (or almond extract)
2 eggs, room temp.
2 ¼ cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
¼ tsp salt
2/3 cup chocolate chips
Preheat to 350/180
Mix oil, sugar, vanilla and eggs until honey-colored.
Add flour, baking soda and salt. Mix. Mix in chocolate chips.
Form cookies on baking pan.
Bake for exactly 10 mins.

I did this with regular sugar cookie dough. Cut them in the shape of a dreidel and put on the coin once they came out the oven. Was a hit!

I made it. you put the cookie in first and then coming out while it's hot, you put the coin in the center and it melts from that.
