I think I heard that the father goes in with the boy to meet the Rosh yeshiva and then he leaves and boy stays for the actual farher. Is that true?
And mom doesn’t need to go at all, right?

Great, thanks. But they do want to meet my husband, right? He goes in, doesn’t just send my son in

Dh and I went with my boys to their fahers for mesivta. I wanted to check out the Yeshiva and ask questions.
For Bais Medrish my boys went alone to their faher.
Edit: I live in Monsey

I heard the mesivtas already know who they’re taking. Faher is a formality

Sorry, I don't think you can compare mesivtas in Monsey to those in Lakewood.
