What’s the average amount of time to use a wig before purchasing a new one?
(For context, I got married end of 2022 and I have 1 lace wig that I wear mostly just shabbos and 1 fall wig that I wear during the week)
I was never really happy with my wig but also was hoping to have it last for a longer amount of time before buying a new one).

Need more options. Not everyone replaces as frequently as 5 years or less.
My first shaitel lasted me 7 years. My fall is now 8 years old.

Where is the option for 10 years 😆
Also how much are you spending?
A 2k wig will last longer than a synthetic or lower end wig

Married 25 years, got 2 when I go married one which I barely wore and gave away. I think I've gotten 3 since then maybe 4.
And one of the best wigs I got on sale at my sheitel macher for $500, was excellent quality human hair (short).

A lot of kallahs are unhappy with their wigs and buy another one sooner
If your unhappy you can buy another if you have the money for it

I replace every 3-4 years but get a new one every 2-3 years. Ie some need to be replaced at different times. (I have a Shabbos, a weekday, and a fall)

None of the above
My sheitels are 10 years old and 6 years old. I might retire the older one in a year and then I’ll have a new one + a 7 year old one, etc.
I will admit that I haven’t had a job that I need to wear a sheitel daily in a while, so mine are lasting longer than when I wore and washed them more frequently.

I find that the newer sheitels are not lasting as long....my sheitels used to last 7+ years, by now they're really really dead after 5 max.

Replaced my first set of sheitels after 6 years. They weren’t even dead, just outdated.
My next two are 7 years old. They still look pretty good. Probably not replacing them just yet.

I have one for 7 years, still beautiful, but I only wear it shabbos and yom tov. My other one is less than a year old, but I wear it much more often.
Both were bought used, neither are lace.

Which company wigs do you have? I meet a friend on Shabbos who has her wig for 6 years and still looks great.

Those who have their wigs longer than 6 years 1)you use then daily just sometimes
2)what was the price range?
Wondering if more expensive wigs last much longer
