I'm looking to buy a nice piece of jewelry for Pesach, I"yH. I'd like good quality but I can't spend too much. I'm not looking at real gold or diamonds, not in that range.
I was thinking about looking at Silver Rose and/or Marquise, both near the Shefa area. (Marquise has a branch in Geula too.) Does anyone have any experience buying jewelry from there? Quality, prices, styles? I know it's not REAL jewelry but do they have good quality, nice selection, decent prices? Good service?
Does anyone have other suggestions? I don't have a ton of time to go shopping and looking from place to place, but I'm so in the mood, really looking forward to having a new piece of jewelry for Pesach, I"yH. And I haven't decided what yet....perhaps earrings, bracelet, not sure......
Thank you so much!

I'm a fan of Tachshik. They have a branch in Geula, one in the Ramot mall, and possibly another branch in the shefa area but I don't know for sure.

Thank you for the suggestions.
I think Meltzer is out of my price range.....it looks like it's real, real jewelry. Gold, diamonds, etc......
I think Tachshik is more what I was looking for, but still not sure - - -I've bought jewelry at Michal 11 in Geula. I like the pieces that I have from there, but was hoping to "upgrade" from there, a little more higher end than there,,,,,,Do you know if Tachshik is a step above from Michal 11? I had the impression that they were compatible but I could be wrong.....
Thank you!

I've gotten a necklace from Marquise and been happy with it. Seems to be exactly what you're describing - nice pieces, real silver but not real gems. Higher end than Tachshik or Michal 11, but nowhere near real.
Another place I've been happy with is לוית חן in Geulah (don't remember the street, somewhere in the vicinity of עוזר יולדות I think), and I've gotten a number of pieces from the Swarovski store in Geulah (Off Malchei Yisroel, I forgot which street, it carries makeup and jewelry. They have the style you seem to be looking for too).
Hope you find something nice in your price range!

Thank you! I heard about Livyat Chen years ago, totally forgot about it. I think the other store you're talking about it Yafit? I actually thought that Yafit was the same level as Tachshik and Michal 11, but definitely could be wrong. Thank you for reminding me about Livyat Chen.

Not sure what store you're referring to? I thought they opened up a Hoisery Plus store there, next to the new Cappuccino branch......which I thought was socks and snoods but maybe they have jewelry too?

Yes, I think it's called Yafit.
They have a nice selection of Swarovski. Nicer than Tachshik and definitely nicer than Michal 11. They also have pretty good customer service.

In my experience, Marquis items are better quality than Tachshik.
The silver holds up well and the stones stay shiny for longer (I've bought a few pairs of earrings and a ring from Marquis). I've found that items from Tachshik become dull and the silver (or gold-filled) corrodes relatively quickly, so I don't really buy there any more.

I have been buying from marquise for many years. Very happy with the quality and how long it lasts.

I love turquoise 925 in Jlem near Yoel Solomon street and Kikar Hamusica. They have Vermeil earrings at around 400-450 shekels and the prices go up from there. They also have jewelry with real gold and stones that is pricier. I’ve bought three pairs of nice costume jewelry earrings from them and Adi, the owner, custom made me a real pair and shipped to the US for a special occasion.

Marquise is better than tachshik.
I like their store in geula more than the stand in Shefa.
