My son started getting repeated eye twitch tics where he scrunches up the area around and including his eye repeatedly. I’m not exactly sure how to describe it but it looks like a tic. Usually just one eye.

What can I do to help him? It’s hard to watch.

Check for strep

It’s insane how many symptoms there are for strep!

My son just started this but with both eyes and I was wondering if it’s allergy related.

I tried Claritin but didn’t seem to help Sad any other things I could try?

My other said went through a stage with something similar and Claritin helped him

Yes, strep is a common cause of brain inflammation but there are other causes as well

Yes! I had this too, also thought it was allergies, Claritin didn't help. Someone had mentioned strept and my child tested positive right away! After a month it didn't go away, so dr put him on augmentin and finally the twitch tic went away!! I was shocked it was strept but it was. Hatzlacha! Let us know what happens so others can be aware too about this crazy strept symptom!

If your Dr can draw blood to check, that would be important. My son tested negative a month later but still had the tics. Dr drew blood , and it showed strept, so he gave him augmentin and it knocked it out!

Check out the book No More Tics by Sarah Chana’s Radcliffe.
Give it 4 weeks before you give up. It has cleared 2 of my kids tics.

Do a thorough eye check up. You need someone who screens for issues not just if they need glasses.
