Is this something that happens? Our pedi pointed it out at a well visit that there was some reattachment. I'm just wondering if this is a thing. Has anyone heard of this? Does anyone have experience with the procedure to fix it?

I'd ask an experienced mohel.
I did a hatafas dam on an older toddler for a bris that may have been done incorrectly, but didn't need more than that.

Take him to a urologist first.

My husband was worried my son might need it redone so he had the mohel check and it was fine.

sure, it happens.
No need to take him to a urologist! Just take him to an experienced mohel to check it out, it will be a quick snip if he needs to fix. And he'll probably recommend to you to pay attention when changing his diaper to use a wipe to slide around that space and make sure to keep it separated and clean so it doesn't reattach again.

They have more expertise in this area and are the ones who would actually perform a revision if necessary.

Depends if it's a medical issue or a halachic issue.
