Yesterday, I purchased a pound of sliced turkey and a half pound of turkey pastrami that needs to be eaten today (I could freeze it but I already have some better quality stuff frozen). What besides sandwiches could I use it for tonight? No deli roll please!
Thanks in advance!

Thank you Fabulous! I don't want to use any more meat/poultry as that ups the price for my meal and I made a big salad yesterday when the weather was splendid...
Please keep the recipes/suggestions coming though!

I found the recipe, not sure who put it in just had it in my recipe box
pastrami over rice:
sautee 1 onion in oil
add:
2 8 ounce cans of tomato sauce
3 ounces water
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. honey
1 spritz vinegar
bring to a boil
cut up 1 lb. pastrami cold cuts into thin strips
add to tomato sauce mixture and simmer for 1/2 hour
thicken with a little corn starch
serve over a scoop of rice.
this freezes beautifully!

My dh likes eggs with fried salami. It's basically like an omelet, but for dinner. Just remember to use your fleishig frying pan!

sounds yummy! Thanks! I am starting toward leaning towards eggs, fried deli and biscuits, but who knows!

I ended up frying the turkey pastrami with onions, then putting in leftover baked potatoes and sweet potatoes , more cumin, garlic, salt and pepper. I made a side of sauteed spinach (thank you Groupon for 1/2 price frozen spinach!). My husband, oldest son and I liked it, but many of my sweet potato hating children turned their noses up and ate pita.
Oh well. Their loss.
