My daughter has always been a bit bossy, sarcastic and likes to push boundaries. I've always been afraid of what her teenage years will be like. Now, she can be outright rude, demanding and even bullying to me. She makes fun of things that I say, the things that I do. Is this a hopeless situation or is there a way to deal with this before it gets worse?

Following. My six year old displays these behaviors. I am absolutely terrified for her teenage years. Yes, this is with therapy.

I would read the book the explosive child. I think it really helps kids like this.

The way I looked at it was this -- it's not my fault that my kids can be challenging/have diagnoses, but it's my responsibility to help them grow.

Look into the Nurtured Heart approach. Look into evaluation.

It's important for you to get counseling and coaching, to figure out where and how to connect, and where and how to correct.
