I know this topic was asked before, but I couldn't find it.
I am looking to buy a video camera - good but not too expensive.
Any recommendations?

When it comes to video camera's Sony is definitely the professional choice. I don't like the ones which record straight on to dvd because the quality is not as good, but it depends what you want to do with it, I edit all my movies so I want a better starting quality (each time you transfer it onto another source you lose quality) but if you want to watch them straight than maybe the dvd ones are better for you.

I forgot to add, I also want it as small as possible, if it's as good as the bigger ones. I think I would prefer one with hd - it's easier to put straight on the computer then have to worry about putting it on disks.
