I want to make risotto. It calls for arrbrio rice. I cannot find any with a hescher. Does this rice need a hescher, and is calrose any good?? I hear it does not make as creamy a rissotto that arribrio rice would. If it needs a hescher, where did you find it with one??

arborio rice is just another strain of rice, like basmati. (not that it's like basmati, but you know what I mean.)

I don't know where you live but I find arborio rice in all the Brooklyn stores. You can also look for an israeli brand thats called risotto rice. I dont know anything about it needing a hechser. If its just rice it may not need one but you should ask your lor.
