8 piece chicken
pepper, paprika, or spice of your choice
40 cloves garlic
3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar (maybe a bit more)

Sprinkle chicken with spices. place unpeeled garlic cloves on and around chicken. drizzle chicken w/vinegar. bake uncovered for about an hour and a half at 375 F. can mix juices with smashed garlic and spread over chicken if desired.

Yes, and much healthier than chicken recipes w/sugar sauces! The "dip" is probably great on some matzah!

and btw it could never be a Pesach recipe for me...we don't use garlic, paprika, pepper or balsamic vinegar!

I just made it so I could use up the rest of the garlic I have before pesach and it smells yummy!

sorry for the ignorance but is BALSAMIC vinegar a special type of vinegar or could I use any type?

This recipe sounds great. Do you have to squeeze out the garlic from the peels once it's been baked?

Btw tm, Balsamic vinegar is a brown vinegar made from a reduction of cooked grape juice.
It's flavor is very unique, and usually cannot be substituted.

personally I think this recipe is even better made with chicken bottoms. neither I nor DH care for white meat chicken.

This recipe sounds great. I think I'll make it for supper one of these days.

Unpeeled garlic? Did I read correctly.
