After stopping to nurse, how long is it normal for babies to have big breazts?
the pediatrician just gave me the look.

I don't think it has to do with stopping nursing but until your hormones that she got before she was born get out of her system. IIRC, it's the same idea with baby acne.

What I'm trying to say is... I accepted it in the beginning but I stopped nursing a long time ago yet it still didn't go down.

Not all babies do. Some babies react to leftover hormones from their mother and looks "developed" - apparently even boys, some babies have acne, and I have even heard of some baby girls having what looks like a period right after birth.
Shaklee, what I mean is that I don't think nursing plays a role in this. From what I recall, the hormones are there from before birth - cross over the placenta and are not passed over through nursing.

One of my kids had rock hard, round, huge breasts, it was so scary. I didnt notice it until his bris as I'd never changed him myself until then.I called my ob, as I'd been on hormones for most of the pregnancy, and my pediatrician had never seen anything like it. Neither of them could figure out what caused it. By the time the baby was 2 months old it was gone.
Your baby might stam have baby fat. by now, this baby is such a fatso that his chest is huge once again, but it's pinchable fat.

I stopped nursing at 5 months and she had breasts till she was about 2 years. I couldnt put her on a tight outfit or bathing suit. The dr told me to wait till she is two and if it doesnt go down to start taking blood tests. Its a good thing I didnt have too.

wow! I didn't realize all this even existed. My kids do have skin issues- but its genetic on dh side
and didn't think more of it. good luck
