If you want them to ripen faster, add an apple to the paper bag. If you want to keep them longer, put them (under ripe) in the fridge.
When I have time to type it, I'll post my salmon with avocado sauce recipe.

I started serving this as appetizer for shabbos lunch.
2 avocados mashed
10 cherry or plum tomatoes halved
1/2 red onion diced
salt
pepper
dash or two of cayenne
(cilantro if you have)
1tbsp lemon juice
mix together and serve! |
Are the plum tomatoes the regular size, or grape tomato size?
Also, RivkaBatya, what is a Fettucine type of food or recipe?

I meant cherry or grape tomatoes. Either will do.
Fettucine is a type of pasta like spaghetti or macaroni.

As promised:
Salmon with Creamy Avocado Sauce
• 6 salmon fillets (6 oz each), about 1" thick
• ½ lg avocado, peeled, pitted, and quartered
• ¼ c fat-free sour cream
• 1 Tbsp reduced-fat mayonnaise
• 1 tsp lemon juice
• 1 clove garlic, minced
• ¼ tsp hot-pepper sauce
• ¼ tsp Worcestershire sauce
• ¼ tsp salt
• ¼ tsp black pepper
Place salmon fillets, skin side down, on foil-lined baking sheet. Coat fish with cooking spray and season with salt and pepper.
Preheat broiler. Cook salmon 10 to 12 minutes or until fish is opaque.
While fish is cooking, combine avocado, sour cream, mayonnaise, lemon juice, garlic, hot-pepper sauce, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper in a food processor. Process, scraping down bowl occasionally, until mixture is creamy and smooth. Serve a dollop of sauce next to each salmon fillet.

I just got avocados for 10 pesos a kilo. That comes to about $2.70 a kilo or $1.20 a lb!!! They usually don't sell them by weight unless they have a lot and are trying to get rid of them. I didn't open any yet but they look great from the outside.
