Potato knishes are my favorite food. In Israel I could get them fresh at any grocery or bakery. Here in Brooklyn, where EVERYTHING is supposed to be available, I don't know where to get them!

Can anyone help?

Mendy's makes good potato knishes - but get the round ones, not square!

mendy's at the museum?

Actually, I am looking for the kind that you buy a bunch of to "snack" on - they're small and you can buy a bag full for about $5.00. Not the big kind that costs about $2.00 each. House of Glatt has the big kind too. They're terrible.

Why don't you just buy some frozen ones?

I'm making a box of Cohen's right now. I always hated frozen knishes, but tried these a few months ago, and bought a case.

Here, in Montreal, the main bakery sells all different kind of the mini kinishes. You're right, goldrose, they are nice to snack on. I buy it sometimes when I'm out, just to munch.
