Anyone know of a center based program that specifically concentrates on language delays for two year olds? All programs start at 3. Otzar has closed. Either flatbush or bp ( preferably flatbush). Everything all right with my baby, thank G-d. Just not speaking much. His therapist feels he would benefit from a center based play group that concentrates on speech delays...

anyone have ideas?

Try Stride Ride (I am not sure of the spelling) Penina Bravman runs it. There is a location on Avenue L & East 37th Street and one on Ralph Avenue. I did not know that Otsar closed down.

Strivright (718) 531-1800 specializes in pragmatic issues and auditory processing. Most of their kids are hearing impaired. Yaldeinu is for children with autism however the speech therapy there is phenomenal. Otherwise there is BrightSmiles 718-438-9275. Hatzlocha.

Otsar closed their Early Intervention Center-based program, for 2-yr olds. The rest of their preschool is in full swing, and I think they will be in their rennovated location on W 13th for the fall.

amother, if your kids are in these centers then you belong in the special needs forum. we could use more support in there.

when dd was approved for speech 2 and a half years ago from step by step (in bp) they offered her a center based program. since we lived too far away they even offered transportation. however I went with the home services since I couldn't swing the bp commute.

you should check to see if they still offer such services.

my dd goes to a special education preschool with speech, OT, and social emotional delays... however she will iy"h be mainstreamed within the next year and a half. I guess I never thought of dd as so much of a special needs child... should I be joining the forum?
