I ask because I have seen so many definitions of what a toddler is - some say a child is a toddler as soon as they begin to "toddle" - aka a new walker, even if only 9 months old - others consider a child a toddler after the first birthday, toddling or not, yet others don't call them toddlers until they are 18 months, or even as old as 2 years old. And what is the cutoff? Does toddlerhood end at 3? 4? As long as they make clothes sized with a T after the number? Because I've seen clothing in a 5T, for kids around 5 years old, which would make my kindergarten-aged child a toddler still? But what I would like to know is, is this the right place for me if my ds just turned 13 months and does not toddle yet, or will I relate better to the issues discussed on the Infants board?

To me, a toddler is a child aged 2-5.
