JOOC, why do you insist on using cuts of meat he doesn't like?

And you can make alternative dishes he likes if you really need your meatballs and spaghetti fix.

What good is cheap if he doesn't like it or won't eat it?

I was wondering the same exact thing. My husband will only eat meatballs or hamburgers, but nothing else with ground meat so I just avoid using it altogether. No reason to make myself so crazy... There are so many other options anyway.

LOL! How come I never saw that line? Guess I'd better post the recipe Smile

2 lbs. ground meat
1 egg
3/4 cup bread crumbs
1/2 cup barbeque sauce
2 Tbsp onion powder
2 Tbsp garlic powder
1 Tbsp parsley flakes

Preheat oven to 350.
Combine all ingredients until well mixed. Press meat mixture into a 2 lb. loaf pan.
Bake, uncovered, for 1 hour.

I'm not psychic lol! by "below" I was NOT referring to the fact that she posted it in this thread after my original post, but to the fact that she posted the recipe in a thread all its own a couple of days before mine, so it appeared below my thread in the list of threads on this board. I didn't even realize right away that it was the same person and the same recipe as that post.

the reason I asked about it was because I am just sick of eating the same few things all the time. I am desperate to expand our repertoire of acceptable meals. I'm not going to be serving steak every night but dh is super picky and doesn't like many kinds of meat. we do a lot of dairy, but not always! ground beef seemed like a good idea because it's easiest to "disguise" - you can mix it up with other stuff so the flavors kinda blend together and it takes on a different taste. also, ground beef dishes tend do be kid-friendly...and of course it's cheaper, as pp mentioned.
