I am IY"H cooking for a family for Shabbos and part of what I need to make is a "salad". Can someone suggest a good and easy salad to make for someone who you do not know and have no idea what they like? Its a family with kids of all ages as well.
Suggestions (and recipes) please!!!

The best thing that was ever sent in when I was growing up be it when my mom had other kids was an avel or sick was a bag of salad mix or shredded lettuce and containers or baggies of seperate cut up veggies like tomatoes, kirby, peppr, onion, corn , anything else that you may think of or just 2-3. We got stuff like this more than once with a bottle or container of a dressing and occasionally croutons and or crasins. It was great because everyone took what they liked as the oldest child I didn't have to make something diff. for the picky eaters they all took whatever they liked.
