Does anyone have any ideas how to attract customers to a sheital macher at home. I have tons of experience but here in Brooklyn there seems to be a sheital macher on every block. Any advice would be great. Thanks!

in this economy money speaks.
(low prices)

give EXCELLENT customer service.

be genuinely interested in your customers

make a customers reward card.
have X number of wash/sets with you, get the next one free

advertising in printed publications can be VERY expensive..... try flyers- but glue a 'something' onto each flyer that people actually take interest in reading it.

(ever get those envelopes with a nickel stuck onto it? There's a lot of heavy research behind that tactic. it seems to work. for you--- go to nick nack store and pick up something to attach. doesn't have to be expensive... just something to catch attention--- just be careful you don't look tacky. maybe put some sort of ad copy that matches your 'toy'

You can try advertising in Yeshiva newletters. I think they are pretty cheap.
