I enjoyed it.
It was a bit slow at one point, but overall, I found it very interesting (and sad).

Reading it at the moment in the original Hebrew. It's an interesting story. So far, my sympathy doesn't extend too far to the main character though. I just find it hard to be sympathetic to someone who knowingly smuggled drugs. But maybe I'll change my mind as I get further into it. I'm only on Chapter 7, just after he got married.

I did enjoy it, but I agree with shosh...it took awhile to sympathize with the main character. I think the book would have been a lot better if would have started from some other point in the overall plot.

I read it.
I didn't think it was very good.
His description of prison life in India is horrifying, but as somone said, it was hard to feel bad for him.
He doesn't even seem very contrite.

I definitely think it's a must-read for any bochurim or sem girls tempted to "take something" when they fly abroad.

I got it out from my local library. The story is astounding. While I agree with the above posters' comments, there is something to be said for the main character's solidifying his committment to Yiddishkeit through this experience. If he hadn't been caught, I wonder if he would have gone through life "wearing the wear and walking the walk" without being committed to it heart and soul.
