Any advice from women who have made the transition from passionate hobby to job? Should I offer my service for free (only charging for developer and dye) until I've built up a reputation? Should I be brave and advertise? Why, Oh why am I so petrified to charge money? I'm business phobic. (That should be a separate thread. I'd call it "Fear of Independence" or, "Transitioning from a Stay at Home Mom to a Businesswoman))----If I do one more enterprise 'for free' my husband would be [u]so annoyed.

[color= This is the original poster here. I pm'd you a reply. Thanks, leahsurie and hi. I live in Crown Heights. I'm getting more enthusiastic about opening my own wig-dyeing service. I spoke with a friend who has a 'junk' wig gathering dust because it oxidized, changing colors from blonde to copper. If she can find it she'll give it to me. I'll re-dye half the wig back to a rich neutral blonde color, and it'll be a 'before-after' sample I can show clientele. Ooh, I'm so excited about it. Nobody else if offering a service to extend the life of wigs, the shaital machers are much more interested in selling women $$$ new wigs.
